After seeing me leave the village, more girls have gone to college. Our families don’t understand why they want to go. They think that if they send their girls what will they do with the education? They think college is just for boys. But after seeing us go, they’ve begun to understand what girls can do when we go to college too. Before there were only 2 girls in college in my village, but now there are 8. Now other girls want to fight their own fight too. And I know that in the future even more girls will go.

Many girls like me have seen transformation in our lives, due to help and support of VIKALP.
