Vikalp Equips Women and Girls with Skills and Confidence, Empowering Them to Shape Their Own Futures and Achieve Economic Independence

OUR APPROACH

The Livelihood for Empowerment Program is designed to address the critical need for economic autonomy, self-esteem, and decision-making power, particularly for young married women (YMWs), women and adolescent girls.

Through the Pankh Economic Empowerment Center, we provide skill-building opportunities that open doors to economic independence. Women and girls are trained in stitching and tailoring, equipping them with practical skills to build sustainable livelihoods. Our program goes far beyond vocational training, it’s about fostering confidence, knowledge, and leadership. Weekly seminars, known as “Saturday Samvaads,” serve as a platform for education, awareness, and empowerment.

To support trainees aiming to establish their own businesses, Pankh provides ongoing guidance as well. This holistic approach ensures that women not only learn a trade but are also prepared to thrive as independent entrepreneurs. Through Pankh, YMW and girls gain the confidence to stand up for their rights, resume their education, access healthcare resources, and take control of their financial futures.
