My life was limited to a strict routine of school and home, with no freedom to explore beyond that. I was burdened with household chores and experienced unequal treatment simply because I was a girl. In my family, girls were not allowed to speak up or make decisions.
Everything changed when I joined Vikalp.
Meetings taught me about important issues like child marriage, violence against girls, and the value of education and sports. In just a few months, I overcame my fears and found joy in playing sports.
I slowly found my voice and the confidence to speak in front of my parents, who started to listen to me. I was initially scared to play sports, fearing what others would think, but with the support of Vikalp and my parents, I grew more confident. Now, I’m determined to keep pursuing my passion for sports and aim to become a police officer one day.
