My Challenges & Transformational Journey

Kajal Kumari

I come from a financially struggling family, and my life has been filled with challenges from a young age. In 2021, after losing my mother, I became the primary caregiver for my infant sibling. This responsibility forced me to drop out of school. But thanks to Vikalp’s support, I found hope again. They encouraged me to continue my education, and because regular schooling wasn’t an option due to my caregiving duties, Vikalp helped me enroll in a state open school. This gave me the flexibility I needed to study while managing my responsibilities at home. Even though my relatives pressured me to stay home, I didn’t give up. I continued to work hard, balancing everything, and I’m proud to say that I’m still pursuing my education. Vikalp’s guidance and support have been a lifeline, showing me that, no matter the circumstances, education is possible.

Many girls like me have seen transformation in our lives, due to help and support of VIKALP.
